Rooted in cushions from Pink House

Rooted in…

I am so pleased to be officially launching the “Rooted in…” collection of designs in association with my good friend Jenny Duff who has produced beautiful table mats using the designs.

The “Rooted in…” collection of hand cut block prints on vintage French Linen is the first cushion collection by Pink House. The concept comes from London street names that have associations with plants and flowers, sometimes obvious, sometimes obscure. For example; ‘Love walk rooted in SE15’ is represented by the delicate Nigella, or ‘Love-in-a-mist’ flower and ‘Geffrye Street rooted in E2’ uses images of plants found in the historical gardens of the Geffrye Museum. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The Pink House label was created to provide a collection of exclusively designed home furnishing accessories inspired by the things close to designer Rebecca Cole’s heart. Having lived in rural France for many years, the antique French linen and vintage trims form a base for the production of the Pink House collections, these are combined with traditionally dyed and starch resist fabrics from Nigeria, where Rebecca has visited extensively. And of course the botanical elements of hand cut lino prints link to Rebecca’s background and reputation as a designer in the world of home furnishing textiles. Rebecca has produced designs for major international labels such as Sanderson, Harrods, Laura Ashley and Ralph Lauren Home.
