The Pink House by Rebecca Cole collection champions artisan textile traditions from Europe and Nigeria. Rebecca has taken these traditional textiles and re-imagined them for the interior design market as trims for upholstery and furnishings.

Rebecca’s love of pattern and texture combines to create a collection with three strands: Woven Aso-oké in a collection of bespoke, vintage and native Nigerian wild silk woven trims; Embroidered woven trims, echoing Yoruba traditional ceremonial clothing, embellished with intricate freehand machine embroidery and hand block-printed designs applied to hand-woven strips or vintage French linen. Rebecca’s experience as a textile print designer informs the curation of this collection encompassing traditions of cross-cultural print and weave.

Traditional hand-dyed and starch-resist textile designs from the Yoruba textile tradition are presented as art-quality digital wallpaper giving the illusion of fabric walling.
